I was completing my quest cape (89 Combat may i add
) today, got Seren boss down to 65 HP surprised at how easy i was finding it (probably because ds2 was much harder)..anyway, I had stopped casting and was like
WHAT IS HAPPENING NOOOOO
, Realised my stats were low due to Sara brews but ran out of super restore so my magic level was to low to use the spell
Anyway, I stocked up again and did it on next try

I bought the Torag set and the hammer. I donned the outfit and weapon and tried it out on some Earth Giants. To my surprise, I was wielding the Dragon Longsword instead of the hammers. I went to the bank and found my Longsword was still there. Thinking something something got mixed up on Jagex side, I wielded the Longsword to see if the hammers showed up. Nope. Still Longsword. I submitted an in-game bug report.
I came to the forums to see what the problem might be. There was a long discussion about it between me, the Mod and players. Many suggestions made. I tried them all, but to no avail. I even went as far as buying another hammer. Still showing Dragon Longsword.
The Mod suggested maybe I had the Dragon Longsword as a customization override. Checked that. Nope, as far as I could tell, there was no weapon overrides.
I was really ticked off. Here I spent all that GP for a Torag Hammer and I was still using the Dragon Longsword.
A couple days later, when I had more time to figure out this conundrum, I went back into customization, looked really hard at the weapon slot and there was the Dragon Longsword override. Asking myself, "How in the world of Gielinor did I miss that in the first place? To this day, I don't remember doing that. I was so embarrassed, I crawled under the Family Room floor tile instead of apologizing for my ineptitude.
To the Mod god, the Mod and all the players that tried to help me:
I lie on the floor of penance, in the prone position, awaiting your well deserved punishment. Mea culpa, Mea culpa, Mea maxima culpa.

My most recent Derp moment was in real life during a lovely walk with my husband. Due to the Covid-19 situation we've been discovering lots more paths around our home. We came to a stile, my husband was able to get over it very easily but I'm not very tall and I struggled and needed help. Once we were both on the other side I realised the gate beside it could be opened. Doh!!

In game derp last night. I did 25 skills for my legendary jack of trades aura and wondered why I didn't get the ingame message to say I'd done them....I had forgotten to activate the aura!
