The world's first traffic light was installed outside the Houses of Parliament in London on the 9th December 1868 to control horsedrawn traffic on Westminster Bridge. It had 3 semaphore arms and 2 gaslights ( red and green ) for night use. It was operated by a policeman. Despite being succesful at controlling traffic it didn't last long because it exploded on the 2nd January 1869 injuring the policeman.

Riding a roller coaster could help you pass a kidney stone.

After multiple people reported they had passed a kidney stone while riding Walt Disney World's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride, a research team from Michigan State University decided to investigate the phenomena in 2016. They conducted tests with a model kidney and found that there was a 64 percent kidney stone pass rate for those seated in the rear of the Thunder Mountain ride. That number was just 16 percent for those seated in the front.

One of the most quoted lines in the history of film, " Play it again Sam " never actually featured in the film (Casablanca).

Neither did " Do you feel lucky punk ?" in Dirty Harry.

There's a whole list of famous misquotes here:

The world's first electric traffic signal was put into place on the corner of Euclid Avenue and East 105th Street in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 5, 1914.

Right by the Cleveland Museum of Art and Severance Hall.

The myths associated with the star cluster known as the 'Seven Sisters' are believed to be so old, that they actually predate the expansion out of Africa by Man's ancestors.

That's why we call them the 'Seven' sisters, even though only six are now visible to the naked eye.

According to a study conducted by Acta Topica in 2019 the music Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites by Skrillex will discourage mosquitoes from biting and mating. The wide range of highs, lows, loud and soft tones makes for an uncomfortable environment.

I can understand why.
