Just finished reading Border Dogs. Giving it a 4 out of 5 stars, decent novella intro to the SEAL Team 666 universe. According to a review on Goodreads it is indeed a prequel to the trilogy. The chupacabras are relatively strong in this universe, and intelligent too. Fast read, only about 20 mins to finish the 45 pages.
Just finished The Alignment: Ingress. Listed as 3.5 in the series, yet what happened to the villains in the previous book means it makes no sense for them to appear here. It might actually be book 0.75. I will read The Virgin City this month.
I'm re-reading "The Alexandria Link" by Steve Berry.
Its one in a series about an american ex agent who now runs a secondhand bookshop in Copenhagen. His past career keeps getting him drawn back in to dangerous situations.

Just finished Nazi Hunter Atlantis aka I am Cowboy. Perhaps the official start of the author doing a shared universe. About an hour and half to read 104 pages.
The Silmarillion (Lord of the Rings prior to the Hobbit, LoTR movies essentially, lots of backstory and explanation of characters/history/drama/conflicts), still fairly early on into it, but loving it so far.

With the Amazon series coming up, I should brush up on my Tolkien lore.
But I do want to read Micro God, written by KR Martin.

The Adventures of Tom Bombadill is great as well if you're looking for another book to add to a Tolkien to-read list
