I recently finished The Sentinel ( a Jack reacher novel ) by Lee Child and Andrew Child.
I like to read in bed and I use a booklight so I don't disturb my husband. This novel was so good that I'd often not notice the time and I wouldn't settle down to sleep until after 1 am.

Just finished Stalin's Hammer. 4.6/5. Sort of like Ring of Fire series where present meets the past, and tech advanced by future knowledge has a ripple effect. I liked the references to Nixon and Hawking, and how their lives were changed by the event. Prince Harry as the main character isn't the controversial person he is in real life he's rather surprisingly heroic in this series.

Now I'm back to reading Aztec Century.

Just finished Aztec Century. 4.5/5. The story explores an alternate world where the Aztecs successfully repulsed Spanish conquistadors from Cortes joining with them instead of defeating them like in history. This lead to a exponential growth in knowledge, giving them tech advantages over the rest of the world. There are references to various products that have an Aztec twist, one reference made me chuckle. The main character is Princess Catherine, but as this is an alternate history novel she was born in the mid 70's instead of the early 80's Princess we know and this book is set in 1999. A certain plot device let's say, wasn't what I was expecting near the third part of the book so I was a little disappointed in that. But overall I really enjoyed this book. The ending was certainly fitting of the plot of the book. Sadly quite a few of the author's books are out of print on Amazon, can't even find them if I search for them.

Now I'm reading The Temple of Skulls.
