The history of Liverpool can be traced back to 1190 when the place was known as 'Liuerpul', possibly meaning a pool or creek with muddy water, though other origins of the name have been suggested.
was gunna ask about the name. who would want a pool full of livers? doesnt even matter what animal theyre from thats nasty. but i guess muddy water makes a bit more sense

I used to live in Liverpool (well Waterloo to be more precise)
Life long Liverpool and Wrexham FC fan also.
I once met Ian Rush when leaving the Casa Italia on Stanley Street!
Waterloo aye, 1 of the few places in Liverpool where you can wake every morning and still own the car you had before you went to sleep
And awesome about Rushie!
I also met Steve Mcmahon once at the royal liverpool hospital, met John Barnes in town and i think i put 2 fingers up to Suarez as he was on his way to the airport after he signed for Barca lol, seen Stevie G loads of times but he seems like an arrogant so and so

There use to be lots of car radios for sale in Liverpool at one time - some good quality ones in Wavertree where I once lived - also something they called "Fresh Lamb Cuts" in every pub I visited - "legit".
I also met Steve Mcmahon at an Art Exhibition - nice guy.
