I think I played the first sims back during the windows xp days. Unfortunately, this game series is unadaptable to the big screen. TV series would work though. This series reminds me of rollercoaster tycoon, very nice classic games.

on Steam atm, the Base game for Sims 3 is about 6 pound and the expansions are all only 5-8 pound each too, might not be a bad idea to pick some of these up if you're a passionate Simmer who has a good pc to handle 3 :) discounts expire on 3rd of December 200m Dunge, Rc, Mage and invention accomplished, + 120 Constitution/Slayer/Range/Summoning/Woodcutting/Mining/Defence/Strength and 110m fishing, got comp/MQC and 200m Fishing/Woodcutting/Mining as well as 120 herb/Farming/Cooking most 120s just Agility, Theiving, Hunter and Prayer left

I enjoyed the Sims 1 and The Sims 2. The Sims 3 was OK, I'm not a fan of the supernatural aspects of it (as in the person you're talking to could actually be a vampire. No, I just want normal people characters, and animals). And I was disappointed how they went for a really cartoonish look, instead of a more realistic look, like the Sims 2 tried.

The Sims 4, that was crap.

Sims 2 is still the best Sims IMO.

Yeah, been playing Sims 2: Bon Voyage a bit lately, nice to finally have my sims on a holiday again :)

and then there's The Sims 2: Open For Business which is incredible

That's cool. I have to see if I can find my old copy of the Sims 2, I know I have it somewhere.

I installed The Sims Deluxe edition onto my laptop but... well I didn't think it would work but no harm in trying... it's running windows 8. (Because @&!# Windows 10.)

The only expansion packs I played were the pet ones. My family didn't really like to spend too much on games, we've never had lots of money. And we never really went to the big shopping centres often anyway. (Where the games would be selling.) Actually, most of the video games we had were gifts rather than from our parents.

I used to play Sims Town and Sim Tunes way back in the day... xD Haha.

Yeah 2 was probably the most well balanced in terms of how much there is to do in the game vs playability, The sims 3 is incredible with how much there is to the game (I should know, been playing 3 for over 3 years on my gaming pc and still loads I haven't done) but for the best and stable performance a higher end pc is needed (EA shoulda better optimised it for lesser pcs, but at least the game is a blast to play :P ). 200m Dunge, Rc, Mage and invention accomplished, + 120 Constitution/Slayer/Range/Summoning/Woodcutting/Mining/Defence/Strength and 110m fishing, got comp/MQC and 200m Fishing/Woodcutting/Mining as well as 120 herb/Farming/Cooking most 120s just Agility, Theiving, Hunter and Prayer left
