No major shocks in the first batch of Premier League games following the international break, Arsenal still hold the top spot.... and United are back in action tonight against Forest.

It's really hard to compare players from different eras, things like fitness levels, nutrition etc. are emphasized much more now, so it probably isn't as straightforward a decision.

Honestly, I couldn't pick one, all brilliant in their own way.
There's an interesting discussion here:

Personally I'd throw George Best into the argument too.

When you think about Pele and the different times, do you consider him better than Maradona or Messi or Ronaldo?

Absolutely not, he never even played in Europe. Maradona had amazing technique but he also never won a reward for the best player and he didn't last long. Basically carries a legacy because of good technique but others lasted longer, scored and assisted more in his time.
Messi is officially the goat, has basically everything, won everything and the best on individual level.

Happy New Year :)

And the same to you :)

Great start from my point of view with United getting into the top 4 :D

...also, just remembered that the transfer window is open, let the rumours commence!

May all wishes come true to you and your family my man :)

Manchester United profited the most out of this round, that's for sure.

I agree. Its a bit like boxers. Tyson would have kicked every ones ass back in his day.

George Best was a great football player by all accounts, but he was before my time.
