Retired Correctional Officer. I have seen both the best and the worst of humanity when I was working.

Started at a level 1 camp, min security, worked there for ten years before being transferred to a level 5 camp, max security/death row. Worked the mile (death row) at that camp for 25 years, then transferred to a level 4 camp, medium security. Where I worked until I retired. Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

I have a first-class degree in archaeology and have also studied architecture at degree level.

For the last 25 years I've been a professional Czech-English translator and proofreader, specialising in the historical sciences and humanities.

I have a side gig as a writer of flash fiction - over 30 of my standalone pieces have been accepted by online and physical publishers to date, and I have also been commissioned to provide weekly copy in support of two ongoing projects for UK-based NFT studios (and before anyone comments, they pay me in hard currency, not crypto).
