Imo the Monty Python films are better than the TV sketch shows. I think some of their sketches are brilliant but others are mediocre. I especially enjoy Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Me and my sons still share quotes from that film. :D
I've noticed one or two references to that film in Runescape. For example use a herring on a tree to get a silly message.

And to the series - for example the ex-ex-parrot.

I'd have to second the full English breakfast. Not sure beyond that.

My least favourite thing about that is their use of prepositions. It makes no sense to me. For example, "I have soccer practice at the weekend." At refers to effectively the beginning of a place or time, so it doesn't make sense to say "at" unless the practice is literally the first thing you do come the weekend.

I'm sure actual English people will argue the opposite though :P

A good rule of thumb for prepositions is "on a surface, in a volume, and at a point". Since the sentence "I have soccer practice at the weekend" is referring to a point in time, it is therefore correct to use 'at' ;)

(And before anyone asks, we say 'on the train' because the original trains were not enclosed, and thus were surfaces, and we say 'on a plane' because a plane in mathematics is a surface - these are historical artefacts in the language ;) )

Ahahaha.... you got me. I totally forgot to be careful and write football.

That is one thing I love about the English, to be honest. Football is football. American football has no claim to the name. It doesn't even have anything to do with feet for crying out loud.

I just grew up using 'soccer', because I'm Canadian (and Canadian English is like a mashup of American and British).
