Enjoy.

Next Years Christmas event. Hopefully.

Remember a Sprout is not just for Christmas. You can eat them all year round. They are packed with goodness and very good for you and 1 of your 5 a day. :P

I can eat a plate full if them with a little butter. I have liked them all my life and still eat them to this day. They are yummy.

Also my Dog Pepper eats then as do my Parrots Billy and Alfie. They love them raw.

So eat them up and stop hiding them under the mash. :P

I only eat sprouts in the winter when they're in season.
Not every one likes sprouts. When my eldest son was around 20 months old I put a little bit of everything from the Christmas dinner on his plate. He was happily eating everything until he tried a sprout. he burst into tears and wouldn't eat anything else from the plate, not even when I removed the sprout. He still hates them now that he's an adult. I once gave him a jigsaw puzzle of sprouts as a Christmas present. ^_^

MMMMmmmmm....

Admittedly didn't check the youtube links, but my favorite recipe is one my wife made. It's basically seasoned sprouts and bacon. Super simple and incredible! Salt, pepper, bacon, and sprouts. Fried on a skillet till the sprouts are just starting to brown and get crispy on the edges. Nothing beats it!
Just trust me.

There's a gene for that! (No, really!)

Arch is correct. There is a gene that if you have it means you can taste a chemical that's in sprouts which is why that person doesn't like them. I remember seeing a programme on TV many years ago that included a section about 'super tasters'...the people who could detect that chemical. :)
