Garage I use is shut for 2 weeks while they are on holiday lol. Just my luck.

Engine warning light on constant now and not on and off and car spluttering.

Drives fine with no funny odd sounds. Just says don't drive.

I've put new plugs and leads on now incase it was a dying plug or lead. Nope same error.

Googling says could be coil or injector. I'm not that good as diy car work so garage it is. When they are open that is.

I've a lot of bad luck these days. :@

OBD scanners are a mixed blessing.
Great for finding faults that you can't track down, but sometimes throw up error messages for minor things.

If you've done the plugs it's most probably one or more of the coil packs.
The good news is that they're not expensive or difficult to fit.

I might just do that myself then.

Just looked up a YouTube video and it looks easy enough.

I'm hoping it's a duff sensor lol. Been flashing on and off for 10 years. Now on everytime I drive but no difference in driving or lack of power etc.

When it flashed on and off when it was wet. You could feel the miss fire and lack of power.

It's odd that the lights on and all seems well.

I'm scratching my head.

Somewhat off-topic so I apologise but how do you like the i10? I've had my eye on one. Bob says:

Around 10 - 11 years ago my car developed a fault with the fault indicator lights. They took it in turns to come on randomly. :P The garage I used were able to fix it.
I no longer have that car. I decided it was time to change it when bits started falling off while I was driving it. :P
edit to add. I've never heard of an OBD scanner. It sounds very technical

Had this 1 since 2010 and it only had 41,000 miles on it.

Apart from new tyres and full set of new break disks and calipers and pads and 1 battery it's done great.

Nice car and my late Dad bought it and when he passed away I kept it and it's been a great little car. Nice to drive gets around 40mpg and not bad for where I live seeing as no matter where I go around town it's hills everywhere..... Insurance is cheap well it was. Last year £170 and this year £205 same company and no claims and well over 9 years no claims.

If you need a nice small reliable car then it's for you. I'd have another any day.

@Megycal

I'm hoping it's a bad sensor as the cars running as normal. Which is strange as if there was a miss fire it would be stuttering.

As for the scanner it's a great little thing that plugs into the car near the fuse box and connects to phone and tells you all sorts of info within the car.

I got 1 similar looking that does the trick.

I drove it to the petrol station and also did some shopping and it run great.

Just the darn light is on.

It will go in the garage in the next 2 weeks. As it will not pass it's MOT which is due soon. It's an instant fail with the new rules.

So have to get it fixed lol.

I'd love to put a new coil system on it which is around £40. But it might still have the issue with the light on. So rather the garage sorted it. Cost me more but I could be putting on bits till it goes out.
