Just treated my car to a headlight clean.

It didn't go too well lol. No instructions in the box or anything. I may have messed up big time.

They look a little cleaner but the UV protection gel set solid before I could apply it. Might have to do a better job on them with toothpaste this time. .

Also treated it to a nice car wash. Looks sparkling. Best £5 I've spent lol.

My car has a couple of chips in the paintwork. The one on the bonnet is quite deep and I suspect it was done when the gas people were digging up the pavements along our road. I wish I'd noticed that chip earlier because it has a spot of rust deep down. Two others are on the panel alongside the rear window going down to become the wheel arch.
My car is only just over 2 years old ( still paying for it :P ) and I'd like it to last a long time. Its the first brand new car I've had in almost 40 years. I've decided to get them repaired and I've booked them in to a place called 'chips away' recommended by the car dealer. I wish I'd taken out chip insurance..the cost of both repairs is going to be £600 plus VAT making it £720!!
*faints*

Chips Away are good. My Sister had them out to her car.

Some plebb keyed it. Got them on video but the Police would not do anything.

She ended up going through her insurance as it cost a fortune. She still have to pay the £400 excess.

Good luck with it though. They will do a good job for you.

My husband is one of those mechanics idk.

He said that code generally means that whatever was sent to the cylinder didnt ignite or it registered that the coil didn't do what it was supposed to do.

He said something about stored and pending codes and how stored codes can't be cleared by the scanner like pending ones. It can only be cleared if the computer sense that it was all good for x amount of cycles or something.

Idfk, he said you are on the right track and he would have done the same thing. He said maybe drive it a bit and see if it goes off by its self. That being said, he has been known to disconnect the check engine light if it won't go away, too...
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

Hello Averia Light.

I get what you mean about pulling the connection to it. Due to the face that it's due for a M.O.T next month it's an instant fail as the lights on.

It's odd it's running well and the lights on for days. It did this a few years back and went out next time I started it. I've tried all sorts including unplugging it and cleaning it out. Nothing worked yet.

At least with the garage they might be able to reset it for me at little cost. I'm dreading if it's going to cost £100's lol I've got it but hate spending it.

Cars in garage.

It's touch and go. Poor thing is really sick.

Needs a New Coil set. Going to cost £120 to fix.

Not too bad. Better then I thought. Funny thing is it's been like this for over 10 years lol. Just never bothered to get it fixed. It never acted up unless it was chucking it down.

Maybe get better mileage now as it was struggling to get any more then 30 per gallon.

Picking her up in a few hours.

Edited to add.

My Precious is back home and well.

Feels much better driving now. Now next month is the MOT.
