Not a first-time watch, but my partner and I have been watching Terrace House, a Japanese reality show (mostly Japanese speakers, with subtitles for the silly fools who don't speak it like us) for the past 2 weeks or so.
Despite what you'd think of a reality show, it actually produces lots of wholesome moments, and brings up all kinds of issues about relationships, making connections with others, and the like. Definitely recommend; I was sure I'd be bored of it quickly, but here I am still watching weeks later.
I was intrigued by your description so I looked up where I can watch it. However it has been cancelled.
I am just watching Bleach again until I can decide on something new.

We've been watching it on Netflix; there's quite a few different seasons of it there if that helps. I think the current season is indeed cancelled/on hold, though.
I finished season 5 of Breaking bad and went on to watch El Camino "movie about the end of the series", btw, if you have not watched it, i hugely recommend you should.
I then started episode 1 of Ozark to see what it was like and quite enjoyed that also and will be finishing the seasons in the coming days.
Much love
Scouse - Runescape on fridays, Netflix every other night

Don't start watching it unless for the next 3 weeks you don't want to watch anything else, it is a series that will grip you and make you see just how crap the things like TWD and other similar stuff that we have all enjoyed at some point really are.
i was feeling a bit cheeky last night so i stayed up past my bedtime (yes it can be socially acceptable for a uni student to hve a bedtime
) and i watched a bit of cbeebies

Thanks for the warning, that just makes me want to watch it even more and I do like a binge watch.
