It's becoming more and more 'fantastical' (and very slightly silly imo) but it's got me hooked anyway. And I'm still enjoying enormously those costumes and cars

Yeah the period touches are fantastic, it looks (and sounds) so authentic.
Not sure which episode you're up to but there was some ridiculous unnecessary exposition in episode 6.
Don't read the spoiler if you haven't watched Ep 6!!
The way Mildred explained how she and her brother had been abused as kids was ridiculous - it had just been explained (much more subtly) by the puppet show! She repeated the events of the show word for word.
I should finish season one tonight, and just found out that a second season has been signed off.
I watched Jack Ryan:Shadow Recruit earlier this afternoon. It was an enjoyable way to pass the time while I was grinding out some thieving for yak track tasks.
lately, as I've not had the stomach for anything too serious and needed some good old positive, adventurous vibes. It's a bit of a difficult show to explain briefly, so I'll borrow from ye olde IMDb here as they have a nice summary:
"Globetrotting celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay serves up an epic adventure in 'Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted.' He travels around the world meeting with indigenous people to learn about their foods and cultures. In each location, he harvests new ingredients and samples new dishes. He also teams up with local legends to cook feasts to present to the native peoples."
It's a good way to think about something else for a while, and it's a humbling, food for thought kind of experience as well as you learn about all these special locations and cuisines. Extra bonus if you love Gordon like I do (not the silly Hell's Kitchen persona, but the actual human he seems to be outside of it), as you get a lot of good moments with him as he has these experiences.
I'm part way through watching "A Street Cat named Bob". Although I know it has a good ending ( its based on a true story ) I still find myself worrying about the main characters.
