Lately my partner and I have been watching the old seasons of
Vikings
(2013-).

I thought the early seasons were the best, tbh. I kind of stopped watching about halfway through season 4.

Awesome series worth watching all the way though. Hopefully season 7 continues after covid.

Watched another excellent Sci-Fi film last night: Arrival (2016).

Not action packed but one of those films with a great, intelligent idea behind it that really gets you thinking.

Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

I've seen Arrival a couple of times. I have it on DVD although the cover is different to the one in your post. It makes a change to the blow things up type of sci fi film involving aliens. I can't remember how it ended so I'll probably watch it again fairly soon.
I watched Beautiful Creatures which I enjoyed :) and I'm now part way through watching a film on Prime called Hotel Artemis. I'm not sure if I like it yet. :P

I liked that film too - Arrival.

Currently watching the latest series of "The Bridge". With subs, of course, since I don't speak the language.

It might be considered a bit of a slow burner I suppose but I'm enjoying it.

I'm waiting for the Avengers - X-Men teamup movie.

Is that likely to happen? I've not heard anything.
Can't help thinking it would be a mess. The Avengers films had way too many characters on screen at the same time, it was chaos... add in The X-Men and it'd be crazy.

The only thing of note that I watched yesterday was The FA Community Shield.
Not a bad match and always interesting to see a penalty shootout!

Hotel Artemis was kinda meh. I'm so glad it came with Prime membership and I hadn't paid extra for it, although I never pay extra to watch things because I think we pay them enough as it is!
Last night I watched "A Winter's Tale". It was rather confusing but I did quite like it.

BTW one of the worst films I've ever seen was Atlantis Down. It was on DVD and although it was cheap it wasn't worth the price. It was such a bad film I wouldn't even inflict it on a charity shop. At least I got through to the end because I kept waiting for it to match the description on the cover. :P
