I watched Coming Home in the Dark (2021)

I didn't know it was a New Zealand film, but thought the wife and one of the bad guys were Maori, and then some of the music was NZ.

Its quite a horrific movie about a family who get abducted by 2 guys who have a grudge.

I enjoyed it even though its quite violent.

I hadn't heard of that one, another for my list!

I carried on with the Marvel stuff last night, and this time it was the first
Thor
.

The title says it all really - what did you watch last night on TV?

I thought it might be good to share our opinions about shows, films etc. and make people aware of stuff they might have missed.

It can be as brief as you like but please give some info, even if it's just "it was pretty good"
or "I didn't like it." If you want to write a longer review, great :)

Oh, and if you're posting spoilers, (particularly with recent stuff) please use spoiler tags.

i don’t have a tele but i watched signal 100 tbh

@Rooh I watched the first episode of Vigil today. It looks pretty good.

The first episode definitely draws you in. It does get a bit complicated during the next few episodes, so require a bit of concentration. Worth sticking with it though!

I continued the Marvel marathon with the first
Avengers
movie.

I've never tried watching all the MCU films in chronological (rather than release date) order before and it really does add to the experience, the whole story just flows a lot more.

I've also been revisiting a series from a few years ago,
The Strain
.

It's a bit of an oddity as it was originally three books - written by a film director (Guillermo Del Toro). When the books were released he made a "movie trailer" for them :P

Definitely worth a look if you fancy a slightly different vampire story.
The plot is more like what you'd expect to see in a zombie outbreak tv series.
