I decided to rewatch
The Hobbit
trilogy which I have on DVD. So far I've watched the first 2,
The Unexpected Journey
and
The Desolation of Smaug
. Its been a few years since I last watched these films and I'm really enjoying them :)

I really, really wanted to like The Hobbit but it fell flat for me.
Too much singing, too much Martin Freeman :P

I watched Rooh's recommendation of
Llamageddon
. Its defintely a spoof on horror films but I'm afraid its not in the same league as
Shaun of the Dead
or
World's End
. I liked the amazing morphing shirt and I lost count of how many different ones there were. Overall I'm glad I watched it but its not one I'd watch again.

Lastnight I just wanted to watch something different from the norm.

So watched
The Last Witch Hunter

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1618442/

It's not something you would expect Vin Diesel to be in.

I was surprised on how captivated I was with this movie. Such a change from the fast car driving stunts etc He's usually in. I was impressed on the story line and the acting. Not too much but again not too little. A great movie for me and I'm sure I'll watch it again as it was fun.

Gets a good 8.5 / 10 from me I liked it that much.

Ahhh good to see someone else was brave enough to subject themselves to Llamageddon! :P
As you say, probably not one that stands repeat viewings... although it could be funny to watch with a few mates and a lot of drinks.

More
Homeland
for me last night and it's a nice change to see some of the action switched to Europe for season 5.

I just started watching 'The Walking Dead Origins'. Each episode is presented and narrated by a different cast member.

Part 1 just happens to be my favourite character Daryl Dixon. It reminds me of his journey.

I really liked this and I've got 3 more episodes to watch before season 11 starts tomorrow.
