Another rover, another mission, another success. Launched on 30th July 2020, NASA's Perseverance rover touched down on the surface of Mars on 18th February 2021. The key objectives being to seek signs of past life, gather rock and soil samples, and to bring us one step closer towards human exploration of the Red Planet.

Perseverance is equipped with its own helicopter (Ingenuity) - the first to fly on another planet. Indeed, the technology is stellar, but today NASA has released the clearest video of a landing on another planet ever seen. This is a treat to watch.

I hope 1 day someone will land on it. Walk on it and plant a flag not for their Country but for the whole World.

I can see settlements on Mars within the next 20-30 years. I just hope I'm around to see it happen.

Mars will be like Transformers soon full of Robots. :P

That helicopter has gotten quite a bit attention here. Supposedly it will remain stationary on perseverance for one to two months in order to charge up its six batteries before attempting flight.
The first flight attempt being dubbed an "extraterrestrial Wright Brothers moment" by Nasa will consist of flying up 3 meters, hovering for about 20 seconds and down again, hah.
