once every 5 years seems like a good time-scale to me, as long as it's half decent. Bob says:

I actually really like these flip phones, very convenient to put in your pocket.

My Sister gets a new phone on contract every 2 years costs her about £30-£35 a month.

I usually get her old phone for free.

Shes not changed her phone in 24/25 month so shes late changing lol.

I'm happy still with my Samsung a50 it still works and costs me very little as it's Pay-as-you-go only.

I refuse to get a contract. :P

Finaly had to break down last month and get a new cell phone after my nokia 6110 died on me. Not bad for a cell phone, it lasted me 24 years. Got a motorola moto g. Only use it text my daughters and make phone calls. Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

My phone has recently started getting sluggish and its not due to a full memory or storage. Battery life seems OK. I don't know if that means I should look into getting a new one or not.
edit to add: its almost 5 years old
2nd edit. Maybe its the touchscreen that's getting old

[quote id=23-24-398-66290374-27-347693207]It is amazing that your old phone lasted for 24 years. Mine are flat out lasting five years, as the batteries end up dying.[/quote That was when they designed cell phones to last, and it did not have all the fancy widgets and other things as the smart phones have today. It also had a replaceable battery, but those things cost you a small fortune. $125 a pop to replace the battery, none of this built in battery crap like the new phones have. Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.
