I'm totally behind on the conversation here but whatever. :P

This show has become the point of Sunday night get togethers with my friends when it's on, so I've seen most of the episodes, but for the life of me I can't really care too much. it's like the characters are so frustrating and the endless shock kills become cliched.

*Spoilers*

I mean, just when they are developing interesting characters, like Merle who went from a stereotypical racist, into a more complex individual with faults but some goodness in him, then bam he's killed. Or Milton, who was another interesting character who was learning to stand up for himself and then, bam , he's dead. I understand that they want to create an atmosphere of mortality, but these seem so pointless and more for shock sometimes.

Also, can we have a strong female character that isn't just some video game dream fantasy woman for guys like Michonne? Nor just some one who isn't the whole woe is me, guys save me Ophelia types. Carol is kinda the only one who I find to be strong, as she developed from a tragic abused figure to someone who can stand on her own somewhat. Maggie confuses me as what is the point in having a bf if you can't confide in him about everything, rather than give him the cold shoulder and act bipolar.

And I miss Shane. He was the only one who truly realized that they were living in a different world with different rules. Morality changes with circumstance.
The Catcher in the Rye caught a Catch-22.

Quote from Rick Kirkman, comic creator, on Season 4 :

This is the moment where Rick takes a turn; he’s no longer going to be pushing people away, he’s no longer going to be doing what ever he can to protect these people in ways that hurt other people. He’s not going to be the guy who would leave that guy on the side of the road — the backpack guy in Episode 12. He’s letting the people of Woodbury in and trying to tell Carl that these people are like us, you have to be open to this and the only way to survive in this world is to have people and be in a community. That’s going to be a big part of season four.”

Robert Kirkman, comic creator, on Rick and Carl's relationship in season 4 :

“Rick’s got his work cut out for him. He’s aware of this (a far more ruthless, kill-or-be-killed type of mentality) and he sees what allowing his son to become a child soldier has brought, which is a very big part of Season 4. Moving forward in the show, this is a guy who’s working as hard as he can to maintain a life for this child. [In] the process of surviving… he’s allowed his son to lose a pretty substantial piece of his humanity. It’s now a question of: Is there going back? Is this now status quo? These are the things that a father will have to deal with.”

Anyone see the trailer? My initial thoughts on it:

-Someone inside the prison is luring in walkers?
-Beth and Daryl end up in a relationship?
-Tyreese becomes more depressed and angry, possibly because he lost someone he cared about?
-Hershel has an artificial leg?
-Walkers have started to decompose?
-They might leave the prison.
-No sign of Governor.
-Prison has been rebuilt.
-Daryl is still awesome.

@BelleDouleur

I'll disagree with you there. The world was still the same, and just because some people changed it didn't mean they had to as well. Why bother surviving if those are the things you have to resort to?
