I'm pleasantly surprised that the finale was not a predictable mess. Killing off Andrea was an incredibly poor choice, Glenn, Maggie or Darryl would've been a lot bolder and had more of an impact. I mean Glenn and Maggie pretty much signed their own death warrant last episode.
It was very smart not to give a predictable stand off between the two camps
oh great people I don't care about are dying
and instead produce some interesting scenarios that felt more believable.
However a lot of the characterization was dumb. Just like Merle in the previous episode we get characters completely swapping personalities (okay most of them do not have personalities true) to facilitate the story, none of the character behaviours have been established beforehand.
The Governor brutally murdering everyone was unexpected, just seemed to be written to remind us that he is a bad guy. Too basic.
It was on the whole an enjoyable episode with some surprises and some nice moments between characters. I think the Governor should have died, I think season 4 (at least the start of it) will severely suffer for still having him around as the big bad.
