It's sad but surely true. Though I hope I'm wrong we (humanity) just seem to be hardwired into an endless state of tribalism.

Our tech is getting more impressive but the same instincts just won't go away. I hope that the apparent silence from outer space doesn't mean that it is inevitable that all civilizations are doomed to self-destruct.

In many cases, it's not tribalism, it's just need or greed: access to resources - e.g. water, good agricultural land, raw materials, precious metals, minerals etc.

I agree with you that our Tech is getting better and better each year and sometime or other We must find another race of people or ET's. We have all them plants and galaxies out there and yet found nothing.

Yeah resources and territory can be troublesome for any species, but seriously..how long is it since the troglodyte humans the Uggs, the Iggs, and the Oggs all came out of their caves at the same time and looked at the river full of fish and all said, " that's OUR river!"

It's still tribal related. Despite all our scientific advancements we still haven't really got over the basics yet.

Maybe the aliens didn't self-destruct. We might be just being boycotted until we grow up.
