I can't be the only person who's had this idea. The purpose of this thread is to find out how many people would be interested in a fully functional, well built VR Runescape by answering a few questions. (I may call it VR-Scape later)

1. Would you play VR Runescape more than the client or the browser?

2. If VR Runescape was reality would you be encouraged to purchase membership?

3. Do you think new people would be attracted to the game?

4. If Jagex were to make a VR Runescape would you want them to start from the Classic version, or the the mid 2000's or the most recent update?

5. What would prevent you from playing VR Runescape?

6. What would make you want to play VR Runescape?

7. Should VR Runescape even be a thing?

@CM Thanks for being vigilant, I appreciate you :D later down the road though when there are sufficient replies I may just open a new thread by this same or similar name so keep an eye out lol

A few years ago I was lucky enough to go to a Runefest where they had an Oculus rift headset with a bit of Runescape on it. Unfortunately it made me feel very dizzy so I had to take the headset off. I can't remember anything about it, sorry.
You can probably guess that I wouldn't play a VR version of Runescape. :P

Not sure, would be fun and possibly good Exercise.

Yes, it should be part of the membership package, if this is what you are asking?

I feel start of now, the most recent and work backwards if players want it??


5. What would prevent you from playing VR Runescape?
Cost and room


6. What would make you want to play VR Runescape?
Could be fun, I'd wait for reviews before buying into it.

Yes

@Dong the whole thing about being encouraged to buy membership is imagine walking through the jungles of Ape Atoll in VR you look up and you see the sun shining through the tree tops and there's hostile creatures lying in wait to attack you.

It would be super neat.

Also I think you're right so once again I'm calling on the services of Mod CM to move this thread to the general section. Lol thanks :) this thread title has had quite the adventure today appearing in two different forums.

you are not the only person, through out the years many people have made threads in game suggestions about VR with runescape. (as i assume this will eventually go to as this is rs related)

2. it wouldnt sway me either way i pay membership already with out it

4. not classic it wouldnt do very well, either way i wouldnt care, however i doubt it would be an entirely new mode where you start from 0. it will just be a new way to view current runescape content
5. i dont care for VR
6. probably once out of curiousity, after that id stick with browser
7. theres pros and cons for it.
