i have no doubt this lotr prequal series will look and feel epic.. with a $1b budget it certainly should.
my only reservation is that with so little source material the writers will just make a generic fantasy series to fill the void left by game of thrones.

that was the great strength of the film franchise.. 1100 pages of dialog, story line and characters all fully formed and ready to be cherry picked by the script writers.

i'll be watching non the less.
