Yeah, most of GoT was filmed in Northern Ireland, however most scenes that related to north of the wall was filmed in Iceland, scenes related to a lot of the desert scenes with the Dothraki were done in Morocco. Kings Landing was in Malta (then moved to Spain because the government accused the set of destroying some of the historic buildings with the cast and set pieces), and a lot of the areas such as Mareen and Astapor were done in Croatia. I'm probably missing quite a few also.
Little off topic from LOTR, but here's some pictures of me on the set location of GoT in Split, Croatia a few years ago... They also set up a museum nearby
(One of 3 thrones they made for the TV show - charged people 20 euros to sit on it and take a photo lol)
(The dungeons beneath Kings Landing was filmed in this area of Split)
