Yea the start of the season is always funny to watch with unexpected teams topping the table etc... and it seems even stranger this season, some crazy results.
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?
International break has been terrible with multiple covid positives across the continent, and my country won't even play any matches (slight chance of a "b team" to feature against Austria on wednesday).
Apparently we're calling up an entire new squad of foreign based players to take on Austria on wednesday. At least I get 1 out of the 3 matches expected.
Whoscored currently have Aston Villa has the highest rated team in europe so far this season, while Jack Grealish is the best player in the prem and 3rd best in europe, statistically
Not bad considering we were 3rd faves to go down and predicted by many pundits to go down.
Also rumour has it Ross Barkley wants to make his move permanent after his "close" friend Jack Grealish will apparently not be leaving either this season or next minimum after the form we've showed thus far.
Good times at Villa, with the mega rich owners. Top 10 would be a great season

If anyone had suggested this to me a few months ago I'd have laughed at them.
This makes me happy
How happy are you now? Slipped off a bit lately but comfortably above the dippers.
Man City looking a cert for the title, specially with the amount of goals they're conceding too.
Liverpool and United you'd fancy to finish top 4, then last spot to be fought by Leicester, Chelsea and Everton.
As for us (Villa) I'm just enjoying every moment after last season, the back 4 (all english) are establishing themselves as 1 of the best in the division and well, Martinez in goal, I honestly believe only Allison is better than him in the league, he has been possibly my favourite signing ever (Still early days) but i just love the bloke.
Still pretty happy with the way United are progressing, they're actually starting to play as a team. Obviously ecstatic about the 9-0 last week, but Everton brought us back down to earth yesterday.
I think this year is still a work in progress, and I like the way it's going. I don't think we can seriously challenge for #1 just yet, but it's nice to sit there temporarily... and it's actually enjoyable, plus Cavani and Bruno are a joy to watch.
LIverpool vs City this afternoon should be an interesting one!
