Yup there's that and quite a few friendlies going on over the next couple of weeks I guess... still can't wait for the season to start.

I wonder how many players will be treated with more respect by their managers after some great world cup performances *cough* Mourinho :P
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

When does that UEFA Nations League thing start?

Is that the thing being used too make friendlies sound more competitive?

Uefa U19 cup started today.

Didn't know that :O

I'll keep an eye on it see how England do, we've done quite well recently in the tournaments at youth level
Shaw, Williams, prepared to venture down the left. There’s a good ball in for Tony Morley. Oh, it must be... It is... Peter Withe !

Starts in september, and yeah there are friendlies in a league format where countries will play against opponents around their own level and are able to move up or down leagues depending on results in the nations league.

For Euro 2020 there will also be another 4 spots up for grabs through nations league (in addition to the 20 spots through Euro qualifiers).

Oooh, interesting, didn't know that. Will deffo have to look into it when i get time

I see England u19s won 3-2 in there 1st game, saw that Brereton scored, seemed decent when we played Forest

Villa won a friendly against Walsall, Hourihane with a hat trick, 4 in 2, Grealish ran the show and Whelan added another, Villa won 4-1.

Meaningless as they are it hurts too see Grealish running the show knowing full well have no choice but too sell :( :(

Sounds great, means we can pay our tax bills on time now :D

As far as I can work out though we'll still need too sell in order to meet FFP unless theres a way round it.... if we break it and get promoted chances are its only a fine though but if we don't get promoted then it'll be a transfer embargo.

Either way we've got 2 if not 3 wealthy owners ( Dr Tony I just dont know ) but the 2 new owners are combined about £7-8b.

Anyway, tomorow I'll be doing my 1st "away day" even if it is pre season, we'll be taking over Burton, haven't been to there ground before, its small though, I imagine there'll be more Villa than Burton and with things that happened today should be a decent atmosphere
