Yes, I've served on a jury once. It was an interesting experience for sure, and I actually think it is a good community service to be involved in. If you're interested, it was a possession of marijuana case (it is not legal for recreation in my state) and it lasted a couple of days. Basically, the police department attempted to stop an individual they recognized as someone they recognized as possibly not having a valid drivers license. The individual attempted to evade the police in the neighborhood and was ultimately unsuccessful. When the police caught up with the person, detained them, and conducted the standard search, they found marijuana in a pocket on the persons pants.

The defense argued that the pants didn't belong to the subject individual, but a friend of the individual and the presence of the marijuana was not known to the subject wearing the pants. They argued that the possession was circumstantial and to be guilty of the possession, the subject would have had to know the marijuana was in there or have placed it in there themselves. The prosecution had no evidence of the subject engaging in any activity whereby they would have obtained the marijuana, nor did they have any evidence to indicate ownership of it to anyone - including the subject.

Ultimately, the subject was found to be not-guilty of knowingly possessing an illegal substance.

Probably spanish, i love the language, the way of life, and dare i say it better skin tone than i have.
