This week's moan. I've been on strong antibiotics and as a result I now have a yellow furry tongue ( possibly oral thrush ). The doctor has given me a gel to rub on but I was due to go to a dental appointment Monday. When I phoned the dentist to check if I should still go they said no so its been cancelled. The next available date is the 6th September! I can't go then due to being on holiday so the next date is the 19th September. Thank goodness its only for a scale and polish. :P

Ok, but for real, I have a member meeting coming up and my team members have done nothing but talk about who should do what and it is going to be a disaster again. I have no time to deal with taking on event planning on top of my duties and I have a vacation this weekend/next week that I have to get stuff done by... *sighs* And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

Our newly fitted shower room has a leak under the washbasin. :( :( Yesterday I found a pool of water on the floor and when I opened the cupboard under the basin the shelves were swimming with water and it had spilled down the back and on to the floor. I removed the plinth under the cupboard and we used a portable fan heater ( with the heat off ) to blow air under the cupboard to dry it off. We aren't storing anything in the cupboards yet because the handles hadn't arrived so its not easy to open the doors. We reported the fault first thing this morning but it took hours for the fitter to get in touch and he doesn't know when he can come and fix it. I am not happy! :@ :@ Thank goodness we have another bathroom.

Can I moan and groan or just moan? I think this situation deserves a few groans, too.

I'm very handicapped and unable to mow my lawn. I have a lot to trees and bushes so you have to use a push mower to do the job right. One of those riding mowers that turn on a dime can't get under the bushes sufficiently.

I've called every lawn company (big and privately owned) trying to get my lawn mowed. We've had a lot of rain so now my grass is over knee high. In the past, a few came in and did a lousy job. Most companies don't have push mowers. One guy mow it last year and he told me that the time it took him to mow my yard, he could have done 3 to 4 other yards. He told me not to call him ever again. *moan*

I was getting my truck serviced by a friend who owns a garage. I told him my tale of plight. He has a part-time employee that has a bush hog. *yay* and gave me his phone number. I called 3 times and left messages. He didn't return my calls. *moan*

I called my friend at the garage to find out if he knows why this guy isn't answering my calls. He said, "Oh, didn't I tell you? He's on vacation for two weeks. He'll be back on (date). *moan and groan*

I waited over 2 weeks and called again. Left messages, but no return calls. I was in the neighborhood of the garage, stop to talk to my friend. I found out that when the guy came back from vacation he had to go to (out of town) to work on the race cars. He wouldn't be back for at least a week. *moan and groan* More rain, more growth. *moaning and groaning*

Finally the bush hog guy called me. He said that his bush hog has 2 flat tires and won't hold air. He had to special order them from a warehouse out of state. I asked when he expects to get the tires. He said that they told him at least 2 weeks, but with is experience with this warehouse, it could be more like 3 weeks.
*moaning and groaning*
More rain is expected.

Earlier today, I called for my dog to give him a treat. He didn't answer the call. I searched the house, but couldn't find him. I called out the back door and searched, but no dog. Then a twinge of pain went through my heart as it sunk. I had taken the garbage out (the can is near the front door). Did he sneak out before I could shut the door? MOAN!

I got in the car and searched the neighborhood for 1-1/2 hours. I saw one of the neighbors working in the yard. I stopped to ask if he had seen my dog. He hadn't. Another moan.

I went back home to put out an alert on a local neighborhood watch site. Before I did that, I went to the bedroom to get a phone number I had written down on a piece of paper. When I opened the door, there was my dog! Yea!! He must have followed me in there when I collected the dirty laundry. Since the room is small and the laundry basket is next to the door, I thought I would have seen him sneak in.

On a side note I would like to go ahead and take advantage of this at risk of being banned.

I respect that the moderators want to keep peace but censorship is stupid and should never be allowed anywhere - internet included. People will always have their own personalities, beliefs, views, etc. which they should be allowed to talk about anywhere at any time. Censoring people because they say something the majority may not like is a crooked thing to do.

"Oh you can say ANYTHING but /that/ because it might upset folks" I've been abused and then falsely accused when I asked for a moderators assistance so I tried to get Jagex involved but still I'm the one who got in trouble though I was the victim. It's one reason I've been off the forums for so long.

Will this be hidden? Possibly. Will it get me banned? Possibly. I'm not afraid, someone has to stand up for free-speech without limitations and so far I don't see anyone else doing it.
