They may do more in other parts of the country (I am South Coast) but we don't really seem to do terribly much to celebrate St George's Day, apart from a few more bedraggled flags on display.

I have never made a big thing of it because as a child it was St Patrick's Day we celebrated, which was a lot of fun.

Oh, poor you. I can sympathise, we were without a working boiler for a few weeks last winter - it is a pretty miserable experience.

Are you no longer freezing because it is fixed, or because the weather is warmer?
