Charity Shops! The love of my life. My friend and I enjoy a day out about once a month to one of the nearby 'posh' towns to have a mince around the High Street, a nice spot of lunch, and then a blitz on the charity shops. I'm always astonished by the things people get rid of (Mein*l Burma Pro GTX hiking boots £8 without a scratch on them last month c. £200 new and an immaculate M&S velvet jacket yesterday £4).
I wonder why people don't sell these things on that auction site, they'd get more money. Cbb I guess. Still, I'm not complaining !
A lot of them have just got tat for sale, I find. But we go to neighbourhoods and towns where we know the majority of the local population are well-off (at least, we suspect they are looking at the size of their houses and big expensive cars, lolol).
People with an abundance of spare cash tend to dispose of an amazing array of worthwhile items!
