Well, no. It's not something that Irish people in Ireland eat on St Paddy's Day at all.
Or even here in England (well, none of the Irish that I know, that is).
But to each their own and if one likes corned beef, then it's all good.

I am thinking a nice lamb and turnip stew would be good when I return from the pub. ^_^

I don't think I have ever cooked cabbage for my boys :O nor have I cooked brussel sprouts. But I make them eat spinch or silver beet several plus times a week :O

They love corned beef with mashed potaotes and steamed vegies. But I am not sure how much goodness is in corned beef? I believe it to be quite a salty meat, so I don't cook it often.

I might buy some cabbage this week and give it to them as a side vegetable - it will be interesting to see if they like it.
If fat means flavour then I'm ******* delicious!
