Last night I experimented with a sweet potato shochu and unsurprisingly it tasted like raw sweet potato but had a sort of dirty finish, like licking the skin of a yam that hasn't been rinsed well. Either it's an acquired preference or I got memed on but it was worth trying for $12.
That sound pretty good, Icy. Did you order it online? Have always wanted to try sake
Potato juice is my preferred source of potassium
Boop!

I live near several Japanese grocery chains so I didn't have to make an effort to obtain it. Sake, particularly floral and fruity ginjos, is quite good but gets expensive quickly. It's hard to justify purchasing a $25 bottle that's only going to last the weekend so I usually get Hakutsuru's junmai ginjo for $15.
