If they told you not to remake then don't remake it - if it's your thread and someone is derailing it, take said post/posts to forum help and get them to deal with it, so it stays on the track you want it to stay on.

I have players that do this on some of my threads over the years and yesterday is the latest - I know on my threads it done in the purpose to antagonize me...

I wasn't told not to remake it. I was going to let the thread get eaten by the page 50 monster, but I guess after it hit page 5 and faded away from mind, they decided to hide it. They never explicitly stated not to remake it. How do I know the reason for it being hidden? It could have been hidden because of the argument that was on the last 5 pages about who is better at arguing. It could have been hidden on accident.

It's a thread that says "nationalism". That's politics for one thing. And also, there's a history of discrimination and racist attacks from the 70s through to the 90s, with some cases still going on now. Like Stephen Lawrence, a black British man from south east London who was murdered in a racially motivated attack while waiting at a bus stop in 1993.

I'm not saying that all nationalists are racist and discriminatory - that may well not be the case - but the idea itself seems to stir up resentment towards those of specific groups, and add to stigma which we have been trying to avoid so that we can move forwards as a society. We generally see a lot of potential in trading abroad and striking good relationships with other nationalities and races, such as a better understanding of cultures.

I'm also not saying that Jagex handled it perfectly. If they were completely against it they should have hidden it straight away, but the relaxed rules were being exercised and maybe they decided to leave it until the trial was coming to an end. But even then, I wouldn't remake the thread if it was down to me. It would go against the grain with quite a few people, and since it involves politics, it's bound to attract arguments. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!
