I like this thread but have no talent.
However, i am always willing to embarrass myself, so...

You are winning in my eyes. Loads of bonus points for MS Paint.
I looked at Brigantia's first pic which, whilst excellent, reminded me of my ex mother-in-law. So a million minus points right there.

While i have no talent (see page one), my daughter (now in her mid-twenties) got some from somewhere.

She has a friend that she has known since 2nd grade that she makes a doodle for every year on their birthday. The friend then colors in the doodle and keeps them in a binder. This is the most recent one.

ART INFO:
-hand-drawn line art
-entire image is 8.5in x 11in
-drawn on standard computer paper
-pencil and black ballpoint pen
-depicted statue is based on an actual statue of Shiva, sitting on a tiger pelt

That looks awesome! :D That's a really cute idea too, doing a doodle and having someone colour it in. I like that.

Also Stoat, that's hilarious lol

I've done a few oil paintings and several in charcoal, but when I try doing it on the computer, I'm a complete failure.

On YT I watched a woman do a painting using MS Paint. She started out by filling the paper with blotches of color. It didn't look like much until she started adding the lines. It was beautiful.

I know this thread isn't hugely popular, but I felt the need to share regardless. I finished this doodle yesterday and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. :)

I did this with a variety of graphite pencils ranging from 2H to 3B. It's the first thing I've properly doodled in months!

I had a friend who drew pictures using dots...nothing but dots. She would start with nothing in mind and end up with beautiful picture. The dots were not just outlines, she would have row after row of closely spaced dots. On night I was at her house and she started dotting. When she was finished, she had a very nice skyline of a city reflected in the water. At a distance you couldn't see the lines of dots. Even shadowing was done with lines of dots placed even closer together.

Close up the picture didn't make a lot of sense, just a bunch of dots. But at a distance the pictures were soft (if she used pencil) or very dramatic (if she used a pen).

She drew a picture that took several days to complete. It was a medieval castle, complete with towers, rising above the foliage of trees. To me, it was a masterpiece.
