I'd like to see it eventually but I won't rush. For films I want to see I usually wait for the DVD to come out then wait for it to drop in price before buying it. There are some I buy almost right away but they're few and far between.
I'm VERY interested. It's been some time since I've watched the original films and I've never seen the Animatrix stuff but I recently acquired the entire current series and I will be doing at least one or two watch-throughs to prepare.
If I'm not mistaken, Neo essentially resets the Matrix at the end of
Revolutions
, right? My speculation is that after that reset, Neo 'sacrificed' himself but ended up being doomed to eternally repeat the process/cycle of breaking free, setting the captives free, then 'sacrificing' himself. Each time this happens, his mind grows closer and closer to collapse, threatening the Matrix and humanity to be doomed to an eternal dystopia, as freedom and utopian society must be forever safeguarded. Unless they're planning to reboot the franchise en masse and do more films after this, it's possible that this movie will involve Neo either finding a way to stop the cycle or to set up some sort of safeguard, a new version of the One, so that he isn't specifically needed to protect things anymore. And while I doubt it'd happen, I think it'd be awesome if they at least hint at the idea that the John Wick movies take place in a different cycle of the Matrix.
That said, like I mentioned earlier, I haven't seen the films in quite a while so I could be missing the mark big time. I was never obsessed with the series or anything but given my recent obsession with the cyberpunk genre thanks to Cyberpunk 2077, I'm really looking forward to this film.

I'll be happy if it's better than the previous two awful Matrix sequels.
I think the third one in the series is in that rare category of 'so bad its good'. Not very good, I will admit lol
