nice new trailer for the fate/stay night remake.....mmmmmm yes

Oh god, I can't wait. Do you think that ufotable really has the cajones to do all three parts, since the trailer had scenes from Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel in it.

But more importantly, Gundam: The Origin is finally confirmed to start sometime this year.

And of course the upcoming masterpiece Kenzen Robo Daimidaier. "Daimidaier is about a high-school student who fights penguin robots with his own robot which is powered by groping."

I CAN'T WAIT.

Where did you read this? According to ANN the only news I see about it is that it would be revealed sometime in 2014-2015. All we know is that it's definitely getting an adaption but no specific date yet. I'm so ready for this, anime of the decade incoming.

I can't wait for the last episode of Unicorn either, then I can finally marathon it.

Speaking of Gundam, I just finished 0079. Is it worth it to keep watching the series if I loathed the idea of Newtypes? That part got ridiculous in the last couple of episodes, especially when Amuro became an omniscient god-man and gave directions to the crew via telepathy. I don't know if I can handle more mecha battles where the "drama" is which pilot is the stronger psychic or can better predict the other's moves.

.................. You do know that the conflict throughout the entire Universal Century timeline regards whether or not Newtypes should be recognized as the next stage in humanity's evolution. Thus perpetuating the feud between the people of Earth and the people of the Sides. It's not like the whole Newtype thing was some convenient ass pull, it's an essential component in the franchise.

I guess that came across as a dumb question, but I try to avoid spoiling shows that I plan on watching later. I was only familiar with the Federation vs. Zeon plot when I started out. Regardless of how Newtypes feature in the sequel series, I thought the concept was mishandled in 0079. There was a shift away from the importance of the mobile suits because it mattered more who was piloting it. Amuro completely destroyed Char in the later episodes, not because of the skill he'd gained in the meantime, but because of his rapidly developing psychic powers. In a very short amount of time Amuro went from sensing presences and slight predictions of movement to telepathic communication and very advanced foresight (that the White Base would explode). It honestly wouldn't have been surprising if he'd started moving objects with his mind or set someone on fire. Well, maybe there's hope for later series. I was really enjoying it up to episode 38 or so.

I'd really have to watch it again since my memory is foggy on specific details, but the concept of Newtypes were embedded into the story from the very beginning, it's just that until Amuro appeared there were no notable examples of a Newtype. This is why the story may focus more on the mobile suit aspect in the beginning while it builds up to the revelation of Newtypes. Pure skill wise - Char is the best pilot there is, plain and simple. It's just that Amuro becomes more in tune with his "sixth sense" than Char does, which allows them to go toe to toe with each other. Amuro starts to advance quickly because he becomes more aware of his abilities, and I can't remember completely but I know his encounter with Lalah helps him.

The following series will focus more on the abilities of Newtypes, and how the Earth people become afraid of them because of their natural "psychic" abilities. They'll realize that Newtypes are of more importance than the mobile suits themselves (there still will be more new mobile suits though). So instead of manufacturing new suits, they'll start human experimentation in trying to create artificial Newtypes.

Personally, I think Zeta is the best Gundam series anyway.

Sword At Online is one of the best, and if you enjoyed it I really recommend the light novels too.

And the 2 Hour Special Edition gonna be released tomorrow! *excited*
