I tried watching Lain, but I couldn't find it subbed anywhere (probably because I stream instead of torrent) so I'm keeping that on hold for now. I did see it at my Best Buy for about $70 (it had a good sized art book with it).

Anyways, I've catching up on some currently airing anime after dropping Strike Witches (I just couldn't take it...). Right now I'm pretty much caught up with Sakurasou and I've started watching Psycho-Pass. Both are keeping me coming back for more so it looks like they'll be getting fairly high scores after going through 3 series of disappointment in a row.

Just out of curiosity, what are your guys' favorite OPs/EDs from this last year? Personally, I really like the first ED from Shinsekai.

^ You didn't try very hard to find it then... I found it in about 10 seconds haha. Go on Funimation's website and watch it if you really insist on streaming. If you downloaded you could get a beautiful 1080p BD rip.

I never even pay attention to OPs/EDs. I usually try to watch the OP at least once, though I forget sometimes, and I almost never watch any EDs. I couldn't even pick a favorite from last year because I don't even remember any of the songs, hell I don't even remember what aired. Psycho-Pass's 1st OP is the only thing I remember because I kinda liked that one.

Though if we talked about all-time favorite... There's still only a few I can remember. Kimagure Orange Road OP1 (Night of Summer Side) will probably forever be my favorite. The show itself is also one of my favorite romances and has one of my favorite female leads. I think I've used the word favorite too many times. But uhhh yeah go watch that too. Don't be biased against the 80s anime, that stuff kicks ass.

I'm not going to recommend any of my personal favorites right off the bat, you should start with some entry level stuff. That is... if you're new to anime? Anyways... the below are some of the popular series to start with:

Death Note
Code Geass
Full Metal Alchemist
Elfen Lied
Gurren Lagann
Darker Than Black
Cowboy Bebop

As stated in the post above, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, is a good one too. I wouldn't recommend Sword Art Online or Lucky Star though, both were horrible in their own ways yet insanely popular for some reason. Gundam Seed is pretty good, Destiny is the sequel but gets worse because of the terrible new main character. Seed is the most popular entry to the Gundam Universe.

I like all the activity tonight. Nobody posts that much and I'm usually always here.

But hmmm... It would be easier if you gave me a genre of preference. I don't want to recommend things that might not be in your area of taste.
