I suppose you watched Clannad in English, right Fayne?
Well I just went on youtube and watched some clip of it. Oh mannn... That was hilariously bad. Sunoharra? or whatever the blondes name is, that voice was god awful.

Yeah, I did. Everything i mentioned so far besides Kiss X Sis and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka season 1 and 2 were english dubs. Sunoharra's voice in english was annoying tbh but i got use to it within 2 episodes.

^I thought the voice matched the character rather well. Sunohara was supposed to be an annoying character in the show, and Greg Ayres (the voice actor) portrayed that side rather well, imho. True, I'm still partial to the subbed voice actor, but I don't think the Greg did a bad job with Sunohara. (Funny story, I got the chance to talk to Greg at the anime convention I went to this summer. He had the same impressions of Sunohara I had. Annoying, stupid, complete do*che, but when everything was really solemn and you needed a break from the crying, Sunohara became one of his favorite characters.)
Personally, I don't dislike dubs. There are a lot that make me want to scream, but there are still a lot that actually have decent voice acting. I do still prefer subs, but dubs every once in a while aren't bad. Just my two cents.

Feels like you're talking about me since my name is Greg.
But uhhh. Yeah... I just simply can't watch dubs. I used to like them in the beginning when I first started with anime. Like I watched dubbed Code Geass, Death note, Cowboy Bebop, Eureka Seven, Full Metal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic... and some others I don't really remember.
Then the first time I watched Evangelion I tried to watch it dubbed. That was the worst thing I've ever heard. I got a few mins into the first episode then I switched to subbed. I don't think I've watched anything dubbed since then.
Now after watching 6,500+ episodes of subbed anime, I can't go back to dubbed. English in anime just sounds out of place and far inferior to the Japanese counterpart.

Here's the thing with subbed anime for me. I tend to watch ecchi anime a lot as everyone here should know by now. If i'm watching a subbed anime that's ecchi, 9 times out of 10 i won't be reading what the words are saying because i'm trying to watch what the characters are doing (if you know what i mean). If the anime was dubbed, I could watch what they're doing and listen to it as well instead of repeatedly going back to whatever part it is to read what they were saying.

Fayne, I used to think like that too. But that never happens... You can easily read and see what is happening at the time. Even though ecchi isn't my preferred genre, I've seen my fair share of it. Never have I had a problem with reading and watching.

Nah. I started in 2005 and was an avid player until 2008-2009ish. Then I would go in intervals of quitting and playing again for months at a time. But, since I quit about 2-3 months ago I'm just completely done with this game. It's sad that this once great game has gone downhill so much.
