" (usually ones with shouting/swearing as japanese sounds too elegant)"
"Kuso!" "Shibata!" "Urusai!" "Shine!" "Kono yaro!" "Baka!" and many more, you think that they sound elegant? My my, you and I have vastly different opinions about the true nature of elegance.

I find it often depends on the voice acting. Most voice actors in Japan use swear words with such intensity (not loud per se) and in English I often find that the word already has an edge in it and many voice actors tend to lack the intensity because they feel the edge is enough and when they do attempt to add intensity it usually just comes out like a loud, unfocused blast.
Just my 2 cents.
