I decided to watch a quick 12 episode anime series and review it before I get to reviewing Aquarion Evol and Gurren Lagann. Below is the review for that anime.

I was scrolling through netflix and stumbled across this. It was a very interesting anime. There were some confusing elements that appeared, but i managed to follow along mostly. I would classify this as a fantasy/romance anime with a little bit of action. One good thing about the action was the main guy character's transformation. It looked pretty awesome.

Unfortunately, he easily defeats 2 monsters in the show, and the final battle of the show wasn't really even a battle per say. Instead of him fighting the enemy, he tries to change the main girl character from evil back to good. That's good and all, but that is quite mediocre for a final battle.

If you didn't read my spoiler, the biggest disappointment of this anime was the mediocre action and "final battle". One thing that really kept me watching (and i'm not afraid to admit it) was the several uncensored "fanservice" scenes. If you are a person that wants to watch a good action anime, this isn't the one to watch. I do however recommend watching as it was quite interesting to watch.

Alright guys, it's time for my 2 reviews on Aquarion Evol and Gurren Lagann. After the reviews, I will share my opinion on which was the best of the 2. I'll need 2 posts for this one.
~Aquarion Evol Review~
Overall Rating: 5/5
This was an awesome anime series. I loved the mecha action scenes. It was also quite funny at times. As with the first season, it did take awhile to really get going. This series has a huge emphasis on love, which i found interesting. I was saddened that one of the characters didn't get to be with the person they loved.

This season reveals how some things in the first season were actually false. For those who has seen the first season, you might know Apollo was the reincarnation of Apollonius. However, the 2nd season reveals that he wasn't the reincarnation of Apollonius.

I couldn't stop watching this show or this series. This was one of the most entertaining animes I have ever seen. I would definitely recommend watching both 1st and second season to anyone who loves mecha and a good romance story.

My first impression when I saw the title picture of the anime was that this was going to be an old and boring anime. I'm so glad that I watched it anyways. Like the Aquarion series, this show had a slow start, and didn't show any noteworthy action scenes until they faced the first general. Nevertheless, it was a pretty hilarious anime and it definitely made up for the lack of good action later on. There was a character that really disappointed me, and that was Raslo. He was the example of a present day politician, which didn't make me happy.

Unfortunately, one of the sad moments were when my favorite character, Kamia, was killed early in the show when the crew faces the first general. I was definitely shocked when i saw this, as i figured he was definitely going to be a character we would see throughout the whole anime.

I would definitely recommend watching this anime to any mecha fans who haven't seen it.
Well, that was my reviews for both shows. Both of these shows are definitely in my top 5 favorite now. Anyways, the anime that i thought was the best is..................
Aquarion Evol
The reason i think Aquarion Evol was better was because Gurren Lagann has several moments that just made me facepalm. Yes, Gurren Lagann has a more epic boss battle than Aquarion Evol, but i felt that Aquarion Evol was more entertaining and not many things in it made me do a facepalm.
My next review will be on Witchblade.

My 2 favorite anime are Soul Eater and Yu-Gi-Oh! Both have awesome characters and interesting plots, the only thing that annoys me is how YGO gets worse with every series. Ok, season 0/The shadow games series was pretty boring and all, but the Duel Monsters series was golden! I watched GX and it wasn't even half as awesome as DM. 5D's is kind of boring as well and I only want to watch it in order to understand what's going on in Bonds Beyond Time. But the Zexal series... I'm not ever going to watch that thing.
Also, Naruto Shippuuden easily gets in my top 5 anime. The fillers were lame, that's true, but the last episodes rocked! Can't wait to see more! :D
