Ill say that that's true a good 99% of the time, but some dubs aren't to bad. I thought that the dubs for Evangelion properties have been pretty good. Same goes for Orphen, Trigun and Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, all of which I prefer dubbed.
It is, of course, worth pointing out that these are all older titles. That said, it makes me wonder if the general quality of dubwork has just gone own over the years. That, and ive said it plenty of times before, but dubs + moe just dont mix (and since moe has had market share on titles produced in recent years...)
@Pinta7
Simple preview advertising. Funi puts up a recently released/ soon to be released title on their Youtube channel and lets you watch it for a while yo get you interested in the product, and then when it goes down you have to buy it if you want to see the rest. Its a liek a trailer for this day and age were practically everyone has already seen the media they buy and quite often wont take a gamble on a blind buy. I mean, its not like they are going to offer a commerical product and then give it away for free, right?

IN OTHER NEWS
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*ad infiniitum*. Been having a great period of anime news, and something just had to come along and ruin it. Just found at that since Madman has licensed Madoka Magica, Rightstuf has restricted the sale of the limited edition sets to North America, which means I'm going to have to cancel my preorder's and be stuck with Madman's crappy, bare bones, logo plastered version. Don't suppose anybody knows a good US based mailing proxy service do they?

EDIT: Ok, that's that business taken care of. Got a proxy box set up with a company based in Oregon, and since its domestic shipping over $50 I should be able to get it there for free. Still going to cost an extra $36 for shipping and handling using this service though. Ah well, im used to paying the price the Japanese want (often more than the package cost) so no big deal, they better not damage it though.

Ugh.. I need some help here, I've been trying to find this anime I used to watch. For a start I think it's either a 80's or 90's anime, the main character has black spiky hair with .. regular cartoon eyes, from what I recall I think the title of the show has the word "Slayer" in it but I can't be certain. (No, NOT SLAYERS), I've got anime mixed up because of similar looking characters or a title that seems , Soul Hunter, Seint Seiya. Also from what I can remember from one of the episodes, there was this kind of guardian lady or whatever, I think one of the female characters had either red long hair, or maybe she had red short hair and there was a long blonde haired lady.. oh whatever. But if you can help thanks.....

Hey Guys! I'm looking for a new anime and was wondering where to start. I enjoyed DBZ and Death Note. I've watched Soul Eater, Black Butler, Death Note, DB:GT, Naruto(shippuden), Blue Exorcist etc. I am primarily interested in fighting manga. I hear One Piece is pretty entertaining :D . Any suggestions would be appreciated!

^Angel Beats (It's a must watch, sir, I got a few friends into anime by showing them this). If you don't mind ecchi, then I'd recommend Freezing and C3. (Sorry I can't recommend more, I usually watch romance anime.) Also, there's some new action anime coming out soon (Zetman, Accel World, ect.) so you could look into that.
Anyways, I've finished Kanon. It was good, 9/10 imo, as I expected from a Key anime. However, it just didn't stir up emotions in me like previous Key anime I've watched (Angel Beats!, Clannad After Story) but it did keep me interested.
I'm now watching Air, which will be the last Key anime that's been recommended to me that I've yet to watch. I'm starting to notice that a lot of characters in Key anime have the same characteristics, but with a few discrepancies. Anyone else notice this?

Not even episode 10? Really?
Anywho's, it sort of follows that the characters tend to have similarities to each other, considering that the main scenario for all of the Key games + AB were written by the same person. Plus, considering that the intention of visual novels is typically for the player to gravitate toward liking one of two specific characters, it makes sense that they would load the character base with popular tropes and concepts.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn (don't get fooled by first 20 eps)

Yu Yu Hakusho
Hunter x Hunter
Toriko
Bleach
Fairy Tail (I guess, I dislike it though)
D.Gray-Man
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood
