Some good news (interpretation may vary) and some bad news (interpretation may also vary).
The good news is that the Bleach anime is ending on March 27th. The bad news is that its being replaced by a spin-off series of Naruto.

Bleach will not end, it´s more of a hiatus. The manga is entering its final arc which is most likely to go on for several years and there is no way the anime can not put 100+ fillers if they still want to go on because they're caught up to the manga already.
I think it should've taken a break after the Arrancar Saga. But they were so stupid to do the fullbring arc which is more of stand alone while the arrancar stuff could've been the series' end.
Naruto presumably is in its final arc as well so that won't take long either....
The spin off is a series about Rock Lee not even written by Kishimoto so nothing to worry about.. Probably 13 eps long..

Apparently the TV guide has it marked as being the final episode.
Subject of Bleach, never thought I would say this but since the movie that they will be showing at this years Supanova is going to be a Bleach movie (Hell Verse) I guess im going to have to watch some of it in order to get the background. What is the bare minimum I have to watch in order to understand it? I have 12 days of free premium membership on Crunchyroll so I might as well put it to good use lol.

Good to hear, hopefully something decent will replace this.

@Jesse B77
I would rather rewatch Gintama with that premium membership than spending time watching this show.
Anyway I took a peek of the plot at wiki and apparently the story takes place after the Aizen arc. I think you need to have atleast seen the final battle between Ulquiorra and Ichigo to understand everything of it. (Around episode 270 or so)
Good news for you is that some genius on the internet made a filler list:

033 *Karakura Heroes Omake 1
050 *Karakura Heroes Omake 2
064-108 *Bount arc
128-137 *Stolen Hogyoku arc
147-149 *Rukia side story. Plot&Character designs by Kubo
168-189 *New Captain arc
204-205 *Random one-episode fillers
213-214 *Karakura Riser Omake
227-265 *Zanpakutou Rebellion arc. Character designs by Kubo.
266 *Hueco Mundo Recap
287 *Magic Lamp Gaiden
298 *Hell Chapter Movie Promotion
299 *Hell Chapter Movie Prologue
303-305 *Random one-episode fillers
311-316 *Random one-episode fillers
317-341 *Gotei 13 Invasion arc
355 *New Year Special

(thank google for this list)

@ Jesse,
Hell Verse to be honest is not that good but the bare minimum of Bleach to watch is the first 63 episodes. Those are actually really good, it starts as an episodic hollow hunt for the first 20 episodes then the shounen starts to kick in and it´s very well done at that point. Generic but with some great character development, soundtrack and atmosphere and most important for its genre.....great battles :P .
After that you should watch the episodes that cover Ichigo vs Ulquiorra, that's 267-272. Or watch a youtube amv/compilations since its a lot of talk and stuff in between. (because the movie refers to something that happens during that fight)
The reason why many people including me are starting to get bored of the series is because of what comes after 64 (actually 132 because thats when they go to Hueco Mundo)
@ SB Flash,
Finally someone that watches Gintama ^_^

First time posting here. I lurked for a few hours during the summer, but haven't been here since then...
Only anime I keep up to date with is Shippuden (I'm also the kind of person who doesn't read manga, so I am apparently ages behind the story).
Currently watching Spice and Wolf. Finished first season, and about to move on to the next :3
I am more into anime that is realistic, or has supernatural clashing with realistic situations. (ex. Black Butler, Death Note, Elfen Lied, ect) Suggestions are appreciated!
Ignore this post if you want, but I just want to start frequenting this thread.

Thanks guys. Even if its not a very good movie I still want to get background for it, dont want to end up like my friend who I took last year that had never seen anything Evangelion related and ended up sitting through the premiere of Rebuild 2.22 wondering what the hell he was watching.
