Forgot yaoi yeah, but I don´t really consider it an anime genre, same with hen....wait I´m not allowed to say this right?

The Hunter x Hunter manga is really something...Togashi-sensei is a genius. And the new anime is getting great too. A recommendation! (don't let the happy go lucky start and goofy bgmusic scare you, it gets pretty serious and psychological later on, especially in the 1999 series)

I have to say they have been doing amazingly well for the anime adaptation of the series. I love how it stays on the same route the manga did rather than changing it.
As for my favorite genres (not just for anime but for manga too) I like 2 different "triangles" so to speak. Each "triangle" works like: if you have 2 of the genres, the third usually follows. I'm a huge fan of the concepts of "Dark and Light" and have even made a philosophy on them. This affects the genres as well.
Light: Romance, Comedy, Ecchi
Dark: Tragedy, Psychological, Seinen

I agree, Guilty Crown episode 15 was absolutely breathtaking. I personally found the plot twist to be a great way to progress Shu as a character, even if it was a hard-hit to the watchers. :,(
Either way I feel we've got a lot to come from now. Shu's finally taking a step forwards towards using his powers to fight, rather than to simply remaining idle and staying at school grounds. Can't wait till next Thursday
