^sorry i'm not related to anyone named cairn :) well anime and manga are basically the same thing except manga=comics and anime=japanese cartoons (that are obviously better than western cartoons) and trolling is against the rules, so your posts were hidden. ·

Yeah, i know, me to. But since we cant physically drag them in front of a monitor and subject them to a marathon of awesomeness in order to change their minds, might as well just laugh and know that we got the better end of the deal :P
@Me Now Newb; Well, ive told you a million times before. If your gonna talk about manga, go ahead, im sure most of us are also manga readers. In future though, time and place , theres not a whole lot of point in posting something contentious in a place were pretty much all the posters are fans of the medium your hating on.
As said above, theres little distinction between anime and manga aside from the medium of delivery. If your really of the opinion that there are only two good animes, then i think its time you widened your pallet a little more.

Kinda makes me wanna jump out there and make an american anime that is so epic it'll blast all those crappy cartoons to the floor n make ppl realize the epicness of anime and quit making crappy shows.
Except I want to be an artist/author. And I want to dabble in computer programing games, but I also like animation.
Is it posinle to do all of that at once? Be an animator of your own anime, write a book series, make art and produce videogames? And still have free time?
My art teacher is always griping at me at how I need to quit drawing anime and find my own style. This annoys me alot, since anime is what I'm intrested in drawing.
It's what I waant, damnit! I'M THE ARTIST!
One day I'll have to explain to her how my style is a style within a style.
Anime > Shonen > Meh style
Exceept my style is a little too close to Kishimoto's from Naruto, so I might try and steer a bit away from that.
And explain to her that the drawing style of anime is more of a story style. An art style that has characters and crafts a plot with pictures.
