Why are you assuming people don't read manga?
I prefer manga over anime and have a large list of mangas I'm reading, currently about 30 on-going series and a couple other series on-hold because it's been over a year since a translated chapter came out. I've pretty much avoided most anime adaptions of mangas I've read (One Piece, Beelzebub, Bakuman, etc...).

Anyway, it's not that hard to find another streaming site. If you want to take the legal route, Crunchyroll or Hulu is an option, granted they're generally released a couple days later or so than it airs in Japan. There are some decent streaming sites out there but I can't really say them because they aren't legal. Really a quick google search would give you a lot of options.
Edit: Actually, now that I re-read it, do you prefer mostly dub or subbed? I'm not too sure about older episodes, however, I do know that current episodes of Shippuden and Bleach are subbed.
