Anime is range in different ages for starters it not for 6 yrs old such as 4kids stupid dubs on yu-gi-oh,sonic x etc... some of them for teenagers such as naruto etc and some a bloody 1's such as hellsing for example aimed for 18 yr old or more. :|

I wish Angel Beats were 24 episodes long. Everyone's past could be explained. :( I'm about to watch the rocket chair episode.

Some animes are good, some are terrible, some used to be good and are now terrible, and some are just mediocre, just like American shows. There are lots types, and there's something for everyone. Anime haters have probably only heard of or seen the English-dubbed Shonen stuff they show outside of Japan.
