"Dunno if anyone here has seen it, but Higurashi (AKA When They/The Cicadas Cry)is one of my all-time favorite animes"

Yay, finally, someone else who's seen it.It would be nice if they would do the second season and the OVA's (i couldnt care about the dub, original language FTW :P ) but now that geneon's gone bust i dont think it'll happen.
This is the reason that american licensors shouldnt do multiple season shows unless they inten to licen se the whole thing in one go. Its fine for some shows where you can watch a season and theres a conclsuion of sorts, but higurashi needs its second season. Chances are its not gonna get licensed though because the DVD sales havent been high enough....

The thing is, you can analyse higrashi as much as you want and think youve got all the answers, and then when you watch umineko (when the seagulls cry, higurashi's sister series) and pretty much everything you think you knew just goes flying out the window...Try it and pay attention to fredrika bernkastel.
If you also read the original sound novels (theres an online company called mangagamer who sells translated versions for download. I think they are gonan be selling disks at some american convention called AX) you can connect the peices in a bunch of wonderful ways...

Oh, and Cairn. im going to say this before everything gets out of control. Drop it.

As for KEY anime (to the discussion on the previous page), i still cant really understand why people like clannad most out of the "Sad girl in snow/sun/sakura petals" trilogy. Mabye its different for me because i watched them in release order (Kanon > Air> Clannad) rather than skipping to Clannad like alot of people do...
I watched my way through all of Clannad, watched about 10 episodes of After stories and got bored by nothing much happening so i watched the movie instead. It just didnt get the same emotional response as the other two. So yeah, anyone care to explain it to me.

Hmm.. I watch inuyasha bleach blood+ code geass kekammi or something or other about a boy protecting his school from demons. Bleach and inuyasha are my all time favorite animes. Bleach has made me cry numerous times. Especially when orahime had to leave ichigo because of the soul reaper boss guy made her. Inuyasha has made me cry a few times. like when kagome and inuyasha were sitting on the branch in I think episode #150. As for code geass and "kekammi" they're very good animes with great story lines. code geass is a very very good anime with tons of action. it's futaristic instead of back in "ye old day" though. as for kekammi I find the story line quite repatitive and I don't think that that anime will go too far in the long run. If you'd wish to chat more into the anime world with me Just add me. My current name is Coumwhiskers, I change it often.
And for all the people out there that don't watch anime, I suggest you watch Bleach and Inuyasha. If you don't like it don't complain about it though.
I RECOMMEND ALL THE SHOWS I'VE SAID IN THIS THREAD. They come on late night on adult swim. Thank you for your time :) :P

Clannad after story doesn't really get that interesting till after the 10th ep, If you get the chance Jesse you should finish it off I'm only up to episode 17 but there's already been a lot of plot twists/changes since episode 10.
Can anyone who's said there better then Clannad tell me what Kanon and Air are about?
