to be fair anime convention are gaining popularity in the uk there are roughly 20 separate convention that happen each year in the uk (+/- 2or 3) most of them ara either small one day events or weekend event there are about 6 or 7 small convention that take a long weekend including the following monday. there i usually 2 big convention every year. furacon (spelt worng likly) is a example of this so is amecon and is is tiwn aya which alternatesevey other year. these attract roughly 4000 people unfortatly there often only places for 2000 to 2500.
anime is big in the uk acceptable normal i don't really think that true but i think that it is drawing a bigger intreast as anime become more "cool" for want of a better term. Also the way convention have been run in this country has undergone a little bit of a revolution no small thanks the the ayacon and anime partnership of who both running teams i know very well and have frequently gophered for and bought alcohol for.

It'd be kind of hard to make a 2nd anime series though wouldn't it? From what I've read Priscilla never actually dies how she did and still plays a part in the rest of the mangas plot?
====================================================
NAHHHHHHHH. Makers can just start the 2nd series off with where Isle* takes priscilla off, and later returns her to raki imo

Well, theres always a group of people dancing to random anime related song. The cheif three offenders are
-Mokette sailor fuku (lucky star opening
-Caramelldansen (which is ironic for so many reasons, and nobody ever actually does the dance right...)
-Hare Hare Yukai
__________________________________________
I thought that any dancing would most likely be those 3 songs. :P

I just finished the Air TV anime, the Air manga, the Air movie, and the summer specials.
Overall, I thought it was pretty OK.
The overall storyline of Air is relatively confusing to a lot of people and admittedly, I was a bit confused too. The episodes went pretty fast for me even though it has its boring moments every now and then. I didn't cry or come that close to it, but it certainly is a sad and depressing anime at times.
While I thought the storyline itself wasn't that interesting,
I thought the best thing about this series was the characters. I really liked most of the characters and their personalities: Misuzu, Yukito, Potato, Tohno, Michiru, Haruko, Kanna- almost all the characters are really well made.

I just found this thread...and I was happy.
A few anime series that I've watched; I would recommend some of them.
Outlaw Star (Who doesn't like the classics?)
Elemental Gelade (Don't watch the anime, read the manga)
Xenosaga (Anime is moderately good, but the game trilogy is much better)
Shuffle! (Very good series once you get past the various ecchi moments, I'd recommend it)
Burst Angel (Not a bad series, definitely not one of my favorites though)
Fullmetal Alchemist (Of course)
Kanon (My brother-in-law and sister got me to watch this, I would highly recommend this series)
Currently watching:
Fate Stay Night (Another series my sister and brother-in-law loaned me)
To Love Ru (errr...I just got bored and I'd heard this series' name before...Don't you judge me!)
About my preferences: I like watching series that have bits of everything. I don't like a pure violence, but I also don't like a pure romance. A good series should be eclectic. I also am a firm believer that 24 is the magic number for episodes. If it's a really good series, 52 is also great.
So...Any recommendations for me?
Just enjoying the beautiful scenery using the NXT client.

@Lumenarc

Try some of the following series:
Corpse Princess
My Otome (softer story than most but still has good action)
....CANT THINK OF ANY ATM X D

If you can look past most of the fighting in Claymore, it kind of has a nice story between clare and raki too

It's not a case of can the Japanese make it, because they make so much there is no shortage. It's a matter of whether it will be profitable for a dubbing company to go into the trouble of getting the rights, dubbing it, persuading TV bosses that it can be popular etc.
If it isn't profitable, then they won't do it. Basic rule of business.
