Every minor character exists only as a plot device and when a bad guy is about to shoot one of the protagonists, a gun goes off - but the baddie is the one who got shot thanks to someone intervening at the last second.

what garbage should I watch this season?

Without knowing anything about it, Black Clover looked like it could be passable and after the first episode it definitely is not. It also features possibly the worst VA of this century. I might watch e2.
